Shoh Kataoka 片岡 翔
Date of Birth: 1982 Birthplace: Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan Shoh Kataoka's focus is on producing short films across various genres. He has produced many films which have won him awards at festivals such as the Short Shorts Film Festival, where he won the Audience Award 3 years running starting in 2009. In particular, his film SiRoKuMa (2011) won 3 awards in the STOP! Global Warming Program at Short Shorts. Jellyfish Boy (2010), which screened at the 32nd Annual PIA Film Festival took the prestigious Runner-Up Prize and went on to win 13 awards (7 of which were grand prize awards) in other film festivals across Japan. In addition to creating and directing short films, he has also done scriptwriting for Miss Boys! Part 1 and Part 2 (Director: Sakichi Sato) and Yellow Elephant (Director: Ryuichi Hiroki).
